"Outrageous Customer Service"
In 1955 Paul and Norm Stierhoff decided to expand their small cartage and delivery business to help families moving into Sandusky, Ohio receive “the proper moving services.” The concept of such detailed oriented service was considered outrageous in 1955. Currently in its second generation of ownership, Superior Mobility continues to practice “outrageous customer service” to its customers still today.

Superior Mobility bases its success on the key principles of quality and customer service. Stierhoff Brother’s Cartage became an Atlas agent in 1961. One of the original stockholding agents, Stierhoff Moving partnered with Imlach Movers in the mid nineties. In 2007 Superior Mobility was formed by the son’s of Norm and Paul Stierhoff to continue their fathers’ legacy of “outrageous customer service” formulated half a century ago. This legacy is being practiced not only in Ohio, but across the country and across the globe.

  • Milton M. Hill Quality Award.
    Our Sandusky office was one of eight recipients of the Award during its Inaugural year, 1996.

  • Superior Packing Award
    Agents whose concern for their customers’ belongings is evident by exceeding Atlas' packing claim standards are recognized with this award.

  • Hauling Excellence Award
    Only Atlas agencies that are credited with hauling household goods shipments totaling at least 750 thousand dollars in transportation during the year are eligible for this award. In addition, these agents must maintain a high Operations Excellence rating and receive a 90% positive response from customers when asked if they would use the agency's services again. In 2005, our office in Lorain was honored to be among the recipients.

  • World Class Commitment Award
    The Atlas World-Class Commitment program drives ongoing improvements in service quality for the benefit of our customers. The program evaluates Atlas agencies each quarter in 12 categories including customer satisfaction, estimating accuracy and claims experience. Atlas physically inspects their operations to ensure compliance with the world-class standards.

    If an agency falls short in any way, Atlas takes corrective steps immediately. Atlas regularly reviews and refines their standards to continuously elevate the performance of every agency in our network. The Atlas World-Class Commitment furthers our pursuit of total customer satisfaction, a goal shared by every member of the Atlas family. Our Lorain office received this award in 2006.
